Experience with just 1 baby!

So today was our first experience having 1 baby each. Molly had a follow up visit with the GI dr and Braden and Ellie stayed home. Now, I know even 1 baby is super difficult and I'm not taking any credit away from everyone who has been given 1 baby at a time, however, this was SO much easier and faster than 2! I felt like we could have gone everywhere and ran into and out of each store ten times! It took about 10 min to get Molly in her car seat and into the car, then we pulled up to the Dr. office and I pulled her out of the car and we just walked right up holding the car seat. I had 1 baby to undress, measure, and weigh. ***Molly is now 8 lbs 4 oz!!! And we are estimating Ellie at 7 lbs 12 oz according to our scale and Molly's weight*** After the appt, we walked out, got back into the car, went to the grocery store, literally running in and out just grabbing a few items, and then home! This was all done within a matter of less than 2 hours...which was incredible!

However, I don't think my arms are getting nearly the workout they would be getting with 1 because we use the stroller everywhere we go and I almost never carry a carseat. And I guess 1 baby isn't nearly as fascinating as 2 because no one really commented on my 1 child...even though I think she's pretty amazing! So needless to say, Molly and I both missed having Ellie with us, even though it takes twice as much time and effort...its worth it!:)

As for the dr. appt for Molly...I went in hoping he would give us the "ok" to switch to generic formula, as its literally half the cost of the Similac, and we came out accomplishing the exact opposite! They found a small (very small) trace of blood in her stools, which could be a sign of intolerance and irritation from trying to break down the formula. So he wants to try her on the purple can of Similac, which instead of being half the cost, is double the cost of the Sensitive Similac! Ugh! But he said if it doesn't make any difference, we can go back to the sensitive one...so please keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't make any difference! Or, if you know anyone who works for Abbott...hook us up!!!

As for their 6th week of life, we have been very busy but also have taken time out of each day to enjoy the crazy afternoon thunder storms we've been having...its my favorite part of the day, and the girls don't seem to mind it either:) In addition to that, I guess my "6 week" post helped because last night they both went 5-6 hours without eating! Followed by a 4 hour stretch...it was amazing:)

Here are a few pictures from this week...

Almost caught Molly's smile!

Molly in her oversized sweatshirt...

They still fit in their onesies they wore in the hospital! ...not for long though:)

Ellie trying to look like a football player!

Jackson's nap time with the girls

Happy Babies!

Our most peaceful moments during the day:)
