OHIO

We got to go to Ohio over the 4th of July and really enjoyed seeing family as well as enjoying our own family time. The girls got to meet GG Flo and Bernie for the first time, and had fun playing in their backyard, going to Lake Erie, and playing at the nearby parks. We also got to meet Uncle Todd as well as several other family members on the Dodds side:) Unfortunately, we missed getting to meet Uncle Jim by only a couple days, but we were able to be there for his funeral to celebrate his life. The girls were given hand-carved wooden Santa's that he made that I know they will keep and treasure forever. Overall, we loved Ohio! It was record breaking heat and humidity, which resulted in water activities most days. I don't think the girls minded being in their bathing suits or running around in diapers either:)

14 Month Catch Up:)

I am aware that I have completely missed an entire month of posts, which continues to prove that as the girls get older, I have less and less time! As of this week, we officially have 2 full-blown walking girls. They can now go as far as they want to...without getting distracted of course! Ellie would even like to run at times, but she hasn't quite figured that out yet! Molly is still pretty cautious when walking and is very determined and focused. Along with walking, they are LOVING giving kisses:) In the morning, Ellie pretty much attacks Molly with kisses. Then once they are both in full force, everyone and everything gets kissed...their books, baby dolls, the ipad, Jackson, and of course me:) Molly is quite a little chatter box. She (tries to) repeat anything you ask her and is pretty strong with words like baby, book, duck, "hi," bye, dog, dad, mom, Papa, Bompa, Yaya, Gamma, Muh (milk and more) and maybe some more that I can't think of? She says "hi" to everyone and waves her hand. Molly still just walks around and says "abbayabbayabbayabba..." As for little Miss Ellie...I'm pretty sure she's fluent in Taiwanese or Japanese because I can't tell a word she is saying. However, she has quite the extensive conversations going on with either herself or her sister (who obviously understoods everything she says!) She has nailed down Mama, Dada, Domma (whatever that is?) Muh (milk and more,) and she is good at shaking her head "no" and "yes" when she wants or doesn't want something. Ellie goes around squaking and squealing with "mmmmoooom, Dommmmmmaaaa, dada..." They had their "1 year" dr. appt on July 2, which they were 13 months for. Ellie was 19 lbs 14 oz and Molly was 20 lbs 4 oz...so still not too far off from each other!
