1 Month:)

Apparently 4 weeks and 1 month are not the same, so here are some of our latest pictures during our 1 month old week:) Everything has been going very well so far with our family of 5...yes, Jackson included! Each day is different, some days I feel like I have a ton of time to do things, and other days I don't have time to eat or even go to the bathroom! Evening time is "fussy" time for both of them, and at night, they are still taking turns on who wants to party...the joys of having 2 I guess?!:)

And it still remains that no matter how sleep deprived I am, every time I walk into their room and see them in their crib, it makes me the happiest mom in the whole world!

We're celebrating 4th of July early because we have so many festive outfits to wear! Thank you Gamma for our outfits!

My friends from work came over this week to hang out with the girls and they helped feed them, change them, brought dinner and presents over...it was great! THANK YOU Heidi, Sara, Megan and Kellie!:)

Castle Pines Shower (a little late!)

I'm posting this a little late but I just found the pictures on my computer and wanted to put them in here so the girls know how lucky they were when they were in my belly! The ladies from the shopping center of the wine shop were so nice and gave us a baby shower at the flower shop. It was a perfect day and we are so lucky to have all of them in our life!

All of our guests:)

4 Weeks...

I can't believe the girls are already a month old! 11 more months to go and they will be 1! Even though I like the idea of them getting older and all that comes with it-- sleeping longer, crawling, walking, giggling, pigtails, fitting into all their clothes they have, etc...I'm really going to miss my little 5-6 lb babies:( They have already gained about a pound and a half and are now starting to feel like real babies and not just baby dolls! Nights are still a hit or miss on if we sleep or not, but I know this phase won't last for long, so as for now, I'm enjoying falling asleep in the guest room with Molly on my chest all cuddled up and Ellie laying her head on my shoulder with her little froggy legs bended up.

On a side note, I have to laugh because the comments from people are still so entertaining, and needless to say, repetitive! Going anywhere in their stroller, first thing people say "Oh! Are they twins?" Really?? No people, I just had 2 babies a month apart, but actually, they're not twins at all! It really is amusing:)

Clearly Ellie wasn't having it, but I'm posting this picture anyway, because as their YaYa says "this is who they were on this day:)" --actually, they are only four weeks, not a month yet...oops!

We went to Aunt Krissy's bridal shower today and saw this odd looking cow along the way...I made Lucy get out to take a picture with it!

Ellie, Molly and Lola at their first bridal shower...they were very good girls!

A couple weeks later with Lola...the girls are quickly catching up! I'm sure Molly will catch up with her soon at the rate she's going!

You can really see how much bigger Molly is starting to be compared to Ellie

He won't be able to do that for much longer!

The Buckley's brought us dinner the other night (thank you!) and Ava loved looking at the babies:)

Molly lounging away and Ellie laying there pip sqeeking!

Overboard!

Okay, so I know i've been going a little overboard with pictures lately, but I just have a feeling I'm not going to remember this entire period of their lives. I don't think I have fully fallen into a deep sleep for months, therefore, making me extremely sleep deprived! I wake up and swear I can hear the baby next door crying in the middle of the night...let alone waking up to my own babies! Aside from being exhausted, I'm still healing from the C-section, my back is killing me, and I really don't have time during the day for naps.

However, I woke up this morning after a VERY long night with the girls, and looked at them, and am so thankful that they are the reason for my exhaustion. They couldn't make it more worth it if they tried! I am still so thankful for how healthy they were when they were born and I get to be at home with them every day and night while we could potentially have still been at the hospital with them. I meet other parents with newborn twins whose babies were in the NICU for a month...if not longer.

So, with that being said, I'm going a little camera happy (nothing new there!) Here are a few pictures of today and yesterday...

We can fit into our new dresses! Thank you Auntie Meagan!:)

Practically perfect in every way!

Uncle Amir came to visit today!

We think we may have 1 blue eyed baby?? We'll see!

Dad hangin' out with his girls...

We ventured out yesterday to meet Auntie Meagan for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory--the girls really like the Snickers Cheesecake best!

Good Day:)

We had a really good night last night so I was feeling a little ambitious today and thought I would try to re create our photo session we had last week, except with my camera. I am hoping the real photographer got better ones than this, but they are still cute!:)

We also had a dr. appt today and the girls are getting so big!:( Molly is now 6 lbs 5 oz and Ellie made it to 6 lbs! And last night they both pushed it out to 4 hours without eating! I'm not expecting that to happen again anytime soon, but WOW, 4 hours opposed to 2 1/2-3 hours makes a huge difference! However, when they do go longer stretches without eating, that means they are getting bigger and I don't want that to happen! I want them both to freeze and stay this little forever! Even though my days and nights are consumed with nothing but feeding, burping, changing...and an outting to see the doctor begins at 12:30 for a 1:45 appt and we didn't get home until 4...I am going to miss this phase! I'm still trying to take the biggest advice we have received..."enjoy every moment cause you blink and they are going to college!"

3 Weeks Already!!:-(

New toys! Ellie doesn't like the swing too much so we've been trying this new activity mat out...seems to be going well! (** yes, i know we seem to really like the blankets from the hospital! They may go to college with them!)

Molly on the other hand, loves the swing and slept in it for hours today...Braden was worried about her getting motion sickness so I took her out to play! Personally, I think she likes the motion!

We took our first mini road trip today to deliver a case of wine to Manitou Springs...the girls did great in the car!

We tried weighing Ellie on YiaYia's old fashioned scale...if its accurate, they are over 6 lbs! We'll find out tomorrow:)

Testing out their "throne" ...little princesses!

This is how we eat when its just the 3 of us! Jackson likes to help in feedings too:)

Happy baby:)

2-3 Weeks:-)

The girls will be 3 weeks old on Saturday and I already miss how small they were in the hospital:( However, I am thankful for their progressing weight gain these past couple of weeks! We went back to the dr on Monday for another "weigh in" and Molly is now a whopping 5 lbs 9 oz and Ellie is following close behind at 5 lbs 8 oz.

So far, they have been doing great...behaving during the day and coming out to play at night...just like babies should be doing! Most nights have been pretty long and sleepless, but hey, what would the experience be like if I was getting sleep!? And with them eating every 3 hours, the days fly by...they eat, get changed, sleep, and then its time to do it all over again! So, needless to say, I owe everyone an apology for not answering my phone or returning phone calls, hopefully I will be back up and running when they start eating every 4-5 hours!

"Gramma" will be leaving tomorrow so we will officially be left on our own! We have been very thankful and appreciative for everything she has done while she has been here...which has pretty much been everything! I am going to have to figure out how to take care of 2 babies, clean the house, do the laundry, take care of Jackson, cook, be a good wife, etc! YIKES! This should be interesting!

Here are some of our most recent pictures...

1 week old:-)

Week number 1 has come and gone! Molly and Ellie are doing great and working on growing each day! They have been eating a lot and (thankfully) sleeping a lot as well. They are now sleeping in their own room, sharing Molly's crib and doing great throughout the night...a lot of thanks to Gramma who has been taking a couple night shifts for us!

We have taken several "outtings" and they seem to love the car...so far! We went to their first Dr appt last week, then visited Dad at the wine shop on Saturday, and Monday we took a trip to the hospital to go bring our nurses presents for taking such good care of the babies while we were there! Everyone was excited to see the girls again and had they not slept the entire time we were there, they would have been excited to be there again...we liked it there:)

Here are some pictures of the past few days...

Molly's first bath at home:) She handled it like a champ! She loved the water coming out of the faucet, so I think we have a swimmer on our hands...yay!!:) Ellie has to wait 1 more day for her bath...

Ellie crossed her hands like this on her own..."Dear God, thank you for my sister, my mom and dad, and this big dog that we have that licks my face all the time!"

Thank you Auntie Gretchen for our outfits! We will fit in them better soon!

Play time!

I blinded Molly trying to get her smile...next time the flash will be turned off!

Jackson just wants to be included in nap time:( How can this face not make you feel guilty!?

Ellie:)

Molly has been practicing keeping her head up...its hard work!

Just hangin' out...

Our first visit to see Dad at the wine shop!

Jackson was on baby duty...

Sisterly love:)
