Gramma Visits Colorado!

Gramma came to visit for 5 days and got to watch the girls all week while we worked! We kept her busy and we may have underestimated how overwhelming our little "Angels" can be! Regardless, she managed to make it through the week and kept them very busy! They went to the park several times a day, and they even made a trip to Target with her:)

During her stay we also made a trip up to Boulder to see our cousins, and meet our newest cousin, Noah, who is 2 weeks old! After our morning with the cousins, we took Gramma to see the Aquarium, where we ate at the restaurant and got to sit RIGHT next to the giant fish tank! The girls were amazed and couldn't take their eyes off the big fishies:)

Overall, she had a lot of fun with the girls and played lots of Peek-A-Boo with Ellie, taught Molly to "snap," and was working on teaching them how to "wink!" We'll have to keep working on that one so we can impress her when we go to California in 2 weeks!

10 Months...

I gave up on my "10 Month" sign because it was nearly impossible last time, and this time is only proving that this is getting more and more difficult as their age goes up! I took the first pictures, and then realized I didn't like those bows, so when I changed them, I missed my opportunity! The picture posing resulted in Ellie climbing all over the chair and was about to go overboard. So, I just took them "as they are" at 10 months old:)

We have our "9 Month" dr appointment next week, so I have no idea on their weight or height, but I can say I think they're doin' pretty good! They are definitely not going hungry and they get comments on those chubby cheeks daily:)

Ellie officially started crawling forward a couple weeks ago, and Molly followed closely behind, TWO days later! I guess you learn quick when you're trying to keep up with your sister!

They are eating all kinds of food now, some of which include CheetO's and Ice Cream...can you tell their mom has a degree in Nutrition!? And they are much more into eating real food than drinking their bottles, which I can't really blame them! I am also counting down the days until we start incorporating milk into their diets and tossing out the formula! Only 2 more months to go...I may need to start ealier because I'm so excited!:)

March MADNESS!!!

March has been a fun and busy month for us. It has been preparing and getting us ready for Summer, which we could not be more excited for! Here are some pictures of our celebration and welcoming of Spring 2012!

Happy 8th Birthday Nicholas!

Mikey and Ellie caught red handed sippin' down some brews!

The Dodds Family:) at the Aquarium

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Ellie did NOT like Sadie trying to eat her CheetO!

Their top teeth are trying to make way so its been a rough couple of weeks trying to get them to sleep--this is what usually ends up happening...

The warm weather has resulted in several trips to the park...I think they could spend ALL day on the swings:)

Super Models!

So we got the call back and were picked for the Boppy photo shoot!:) All 3 (Braden, Molly & Ellie!) of them were asked to do it and took pictures with 7 different products, 2- "Travel Boppy's," 4 different regular Boppy's, and 3 Boppy burp cloths. We won't know which pictures they end up picking until the products are out on the shelves, which will be in about 6 months! Molly and Ellie were used as the same baby in some pictures and then had individual shots, but none were shot with "twins." They both cooperated just as expected and we're excited to see what pictures (if any) get picked for the products! There will be millions of products all over the world with their picture on it!!!

These were the only pictures I got because every time my camera flashed, the large studio flash would go off and I was embarrassing my "model" husband!

BOPPY!

Before we find out the results tomorrow, I wanted to share how proud I am of my husband and baby girls:) I (literally) stumbled across a talent agency on Thursday while I was working and went in to give them my business card. To make a long story short, by the time I was leaving the place, the lady was begging me to have Molly and Ellie go to a photo casting for Boppy the next morning. Then, while looking at our blog of the girls, she came across "their dad" as well. She was then begging for him to take them to the casting because they were in need of "good looking dads"...which Braden obviously (in my book) fits that role:) Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it the next morning, but Braden took himself and the girls to their first photo shoot! Our nanny was able to go to help him, which I was thankful for, but was heartbroken that I couldn't be there myself to witness the fun!

All in all, he said they all did their best and it was insane how many babies and adult women and men there were trying out for this! I wish I could have seen the "models" in action, but I know they did great! I'm just proud of them for going and this "agent" being so interested in my family!:)

Happy 60th Birthday Bompa!!!

It's been an exciting March so far with fun outtings, surprises, and visitors. We had a surprise 60th birthday party for Bompa which turned out to be a successful surprise. Our cousins also made a surprise visit for the birthday party, which we were very excited to see! I didn't get too many good pictures from the party, but was at least able to capture the "surprise" moment.

We got to take our first trip to the zoo, and can't wait for many more trips back! Here are some other random pictures of Molly and Ellie just being themselves:)

Happy Birthday!

One of my favorites...making each other giggle:)

Jackson doesn't like to leave their side!

9 Months!!!

As these middle pictures portray, 9 months is starting to have its challenges, one being that picture taking is taking a little more strategizing! They refused to have the 9 month sign next to them without immediately trying to eat it! Even though each time a month passes, I have no idea where the time went, however, what I do know is that I am enjoying these 2 little girls more then I could have ever imagined. They are constantly amazing me with their ability to learn new things daily. They have no idea just how easily they put smiles on faces and brighten up someone's bad day.

The most common comment I get from other moms of twins is "don't worry, it gets easier!" While having kids is described as "hard work," I would never explain it as that. Or I could explain it as the best reward from any "work" I've ever done!

They have both been pretty close when it comes to learning, and I love to watch them learn from one another. They keep a close watch on their sister to make sure they are constantly challenging each other.

Molly at 9 months--loves to wave her hand in a circle, clap her hands, giggles uncontrollably, talks her little head off, loves to roll back and forth on the floor, likes to dance to music, and LOVES to be thrown up in the air:) Molly also loves to eat and can't get it into her mouth fast enough! However, she's very sharing and will take a bite to eat, then give Jackson a bite, and then back to her:)

Ellie at 9 months--is minutes away from crawling, can wave when you "tell" her to (without having to show her,) loves the word "Dada" and just this weekend added MAMA into her vocabulary, likes to blow bubbles and make silly noises with her mouth, likes to dance, will give you hugs, and LOVES to cuddle:) When it comes to Ellie and eating, she is very selective. While Molly is busy stuffing her mouth, Ellie will selectively pick up ONE cheerio, noodle, peach, etc and strategically put it into her mouth. She is also like this when she's on the floor and acts as a microscopic vacuum cleaner!

Look at those BOWS!!! Thank you Auntie Meagan!!!

Playing nicely together---this isn't "always" the case!

9 months already!?!?

Does it get any cuter than this????

**Bows are made by our favorite "Auntie Meagan"--from the Auntie Meagan Bow Factory!:)
**Shirts from Aunt Kalley:)

Busy Busy Busy

The girls had a visit from Papa and Grandma Connie this past weekend. Now that the girls are easier to take out to places, we got to enjoy dinner out every night, lunch at the top of Red Rocks, and some down time playing at the house. It was nice for them to get to know their Papa and Grandma Connie:)

An easy way to get some giggles out of Miss Molly:)

Reading time!

I am well aware that bathing suits and tank tops are easier, but these little Colorado girls sure do look cute in their vests!

Sisters:)

I just thought this was a funny picture!

My little cutie pies!

Everyone is starting to feel sorry to Jackson and the lack of attention he has received over the past 9 months. However, I don't think he looks too miserable with his life. This goes without mentioning he has 2 little people that he is watching over their every move...he's got a big job to fullfill nowadays:)

My best friend, Jen, was the "Lucky Lady" of the month and was proposed to on February 25. It was a well orchestrated engagement and her AmAzInG fiance flew me out so I could be a part of the day. There was minute by minute scavenger hunt planned and I got to be at the end of it and spend the last 30 minutes of her "single-ness" with her. We took a 30 minute hike in on a trail, then I left her to finish it to meet him at the top. Congratulations Jen and Kirk!!!

We were talking one day about how Ellie looks nothing like me...then to my surprise, I walked in on her napping like this--> She is my baby! This is how I used to sleep as a baby also:)
