Sweet Baby Jane!

On August 23, we got to meet our 5th niece! Jane Elizabeth was born at 11:59am on August 23. She is so sweet and perfect and we are so excited to watch her grow up into a beautiful little girl... But not too fast of course!!!

We will miss you Pompa!!!

On August 25, we unfortunately lost Braden's grandpa, aka "Pompa.". He had battled with Alzheimer's over the past few years, which is an awful disease that is very difficult to have to watch a loved family member go through.

We went to Meeker over Labor Day for his funeral and to celebrate his life. With a turn out of almost 500 people , it was a perfect example of the impact he had on his friends, family, and the small town of Meeker.

The morning he had passed, I was in San Diego heading to the horse races. The first race I say down for, there was a horse named "Smilin' from above." I like to think this was a clear message of where Pompa is now...a happy, clear-minded man smiling down on all of us:-)

Meeting baby Zoey!

I finally got to meet my new little niece, Zoey, a few weeks ago! As expected, it was a love at first sight moment, and I can't wait for Molly and Ellie to meet her!! I think they'll be more interested in Ayla at this point, which will be even more fun to watch!:-)

Happy 30th Birthday Daddy!!

Braden's 30th birthday was a little hectic and didn't go exactly as planned. I was out of town, harvest is in full bloom at the winery, and with two 16 mo olds running around, a surprise party was virtually impossible to plan. However, we did manage to stretch the birthday celebration into our weekend in Baltimore, several birthday dinners with friends, a birthday dinner with just the 2 of us, multiple cakes, and many birthday songs! And who knows, maybe birthday number "31" will be a blind sided time for a surprise party!!?? :-)
