19 Weeks...and counting!!!

At 19 weeks...I still don't have any "cravings," which I'm kind of excited to see what it will be...if any! I've also made it to this point with no morning sickness, which I thank God for giving me 2 babies because I can handle 2 and for not giving me morning sickness because I probably couldn't handle that! I am feeling the babies more and more, and I think they are awake at different times because the side of the flutters is different each time. Pizza and chicken still sound/taste gross. Its becoming harder to sleep, I find myself wide awake at around 3 am and then I can't wake up when my 5:30 alarm goes off! I'm sure my body is just starting to prepare for the wake up calls throughout the night, and Jackson is doing a good job of preparing me for that too! He suddenly needs to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, every night...I think he's working with his siblings on this tactic!

BIG difference between 16 weeks and 19 weeks! These babies are growing exponentially!

Bye bye feet! This is my view looking down!

There's not much of a difference between Kalley at 28 weeks and me at 19!!!

Cribs have been ordered! To spare these babies having to share everything, one thing they will not have to share is their changing table!

According to our multiple "19 week" readings, the babies are supposedly equivalent to these:

6" Turkey Sandwich from Subway...I think this fits in my stomach more then being the size of the babies!

A small pumpkin...don't know how "big" a small pumpkin is though!?

A large heirloom tomato

Krissy & Andy are ENGAGED!!:)

January 23, 2011--Andy and Krissy got engaged!

We all went to Argyles Pub (one of their favorite restaurants) and surprised Krissy after the big proposal with both of their families waiting for them. Andy did an amazing job of throwing her off guard and making it a true "surprise!" I'm impressed with the amount of trust he had in all of us to keep it a secret for weeks! Everyone is VERY excited to have Andy join the family and for the wedding planning and celebrating begin! BIG year for all the Dodds kids!!!

Kalley flew in for 12 hours for the big event!

The future Mr. and Mrs. Lanoha!!!

Krissy's soon to be S.I.L.'s and B.I.L.:) There are about 12 more siblings that she will be acquiring!

Andy's future S.I.L.'s and B.I.L....minus Matt

Andy's future IN LAWS!!! He's very luckY!:)

The kids were VERY excited!!!:)

Getting Bigger!!!

Mom's of Multiples are Freaks of Nature--You Tube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tT-lgB_HGEE

So a mom of twins posted this on facebook yesterday and Braden and I watched it last night and its hilarious! Little do people know that this is how EVERY conversation goes with strangers and for us, and it has already started and they aren't even here yet. Granted, I know people have no idea how offensive some of these questions are, because I certainly had no idea until I've been on the receiving end of them. But so far, in our short time of 18 weeks of anticipating being parents of twins, most of the conversations go like this:

Us: "We're pregnant"
Them: "That's great! Congratulations!"
Us: "...with twins!"
Them: (Fearful look) "Yikes! Well good luck with that! Better you than me!"

Or in the beginning when we were honest:

**After they know we're having twins....
Them: "Twins?? Do they run in your family or did you do fertility?"
Us: "Yea, I was on some meds"
Them: "Ahh...that's why you're having twins..."

...the reaction is almost as if they're saying because I was on medicine, they're not "real" babies or something and they're not counting as kids?? Its been very strange! So after the beginning responses to that, we have quickly moved to:

Them: "Do twins run in your family?
Us: "YES! Both our great grandparents were twins and my brother has twins!" (which is mostly true, except its my "step" brother so there's no blood relation, but no one needs to know that!)

Soon we will change it to "Yes, our cousins, our grandparents, our uncle, etc were all twins! It really runs in the family!"

But along with the negative comments and responses, there have also been many people who are extremely positive and supportive...which means the world to us!!! And aside from it all, we remain very excited and anxious for them to get here:)

1/2 Way Point Picture! I think today is officially half way to 37 weeks! YAY! I feel like I'm growing really fast right now and I still have so much longer to go! I look at my old clothes and wonder how I ever got myself into them...so hopefully WHEN (not IF) I get back to my normal weight, I will appreciate my size 2 pants and small shirts!

It is really sweet though (and frustrating,) we were at Target the other night and I told Braden that I need a cocktail dress for our upcoming Nat'l Sales Mtg in FL and he said I was absolutely not buying "another" dress and I can wear one that I have! Its really nice of him to think I can fit into a little black dress that I already needed to be down 5 lbs to get into before! He thinks the same with jeans and doesn't understand why I keep having to buy new pants! I won't complain that he's not calling me fat yet:)

18 Weeks

Today marks 18 weeks, which also means that by the end of this week, I will be half way to June 1!!! The first 18 weeks have gone by fast, but things are starting to grow faster and time is running out.

We went on Sunday to start our baby registry. We decided on Target and Babies R Us and we walked in ready to go! Once we got started, the entire process was extremely overwhelming. While I have no questions on how to love these babies unconditionally, I do have questions about everything we need! The registry bag comes with a "must have" list and we got a "twins-must have" list, which you would think they are preparing us to get in a rocket and go to the moon! 2 of this, 2 of that, 2 of these...REALLY??

Along with the 18 week marker, comes a growing belly, thighs and butt! I am starting to grow out of my beginning maternity clothes already and the sizes are increasing...along with the number on the scale! I'm probably up now 10-15 lbs (depending on the day and time.) Which means I have 35 to go to my recommended goal of 50 lbs! Craving and increased hunger haven't started yet, but I'm sure once they do, that 50 will be easy to get to. But the best thing about getting bigger is knowing that the babies are doing what they are supposed to do...growing! With them growing, it is also making sleeping not as much fun. As a lifetime stomach sleeper, this side sleeping is not nearly as comfortable. I guess they're just preparing me for my future lack of sleep! At least I get to look forward to both of them sleeping next to me pretty soon:)

**18 week belly pictures to follow later this week.

17 Weeks

17 1/2 week belly picture:)

At 17 weeks and being the size of a baked potato, I can officially say I have felt them kick...I think! Its still hard to tell, but I really really think I did! I know they are kicking, waving, and blowing kisses all the time, so its just a matter of days that I'll feel them all the time! Either way, I like the feeling and idea of feeling their little feet!:)

1 Girl and 1 ??????

Its not official yet, but 90% says at least 1 girl!:)--Baby A. The other baby (baby B) chose to keep it a mystery and was busy flipping around (same as last time!) However, Baby B is the one that did pose for the picture! The other picture is both of their little bellies. They were very cute to watch as they were both keeping busy waving and kicking in there. We just can't wait to meet them!!!

16 weeks

Thanks to one of Braden's best supporting customers, we got to go to the Broncos/Chargers game on Sunday and benefit from her amazing "Club" level seats. It was a great game, however no surprise that the Broncos lost:( We had a good time though and enjoyed our "Amy & Braden" time while we have it!

16 weeks...

Today marks the 16 week point for the babies. Also possibly the last day that their gender will be a mystery to us!:) We have a dr. appt tomorrow and fingers are crossed that we will come out with some idea of what they are...at least 1 of them should be in a good position! With that being said, they are now the size of Avocados...which I love!:)
