The Day Before Becoming a Mom of 3!

Tomorrow I will officially be responsible for 3 little lives and continuing this journey of doing the "best I can." I could not be more excited to find out what our future holds, and most excited to find out if our lives are about to welcome a little boy or a little girl! The anticipation has built up over the past few months, even though Braden has known the gender since September 15. Most people are guessing boy, mostly because I think that's just what makes sense to them since we already have girls, however, if I had to guess, my guess is another girl! I am great with either and am so excited to experience this surprise that life gives you. Tomorrow will also officially mark the day that Molly and Ellie become "big sisters." I am completely confident that they are more than ready to take on this new role and just hope that the transition goes as smoothly as we are all anticipating. While I am so anxious to see them with their new baby brother/sister, I am also sad to be losing my "babies" and to watch them take on this new responsibility. I am hoping I don't forget this time period and the little things they say that make me smile. I hope I always remember Ellie saying "But mom, I can't know how to do that?" And Molly's fascination with her "Piggy Ink" and putting pennies in it. And these recent days where Ellie can sit at an art table for hours and practice writing her and her sisters name, while Molly is bouncing all over the house in her Sophia dress and ONLY wants to be dressed as a princess at all times. The second Molly walks into the house she strips down into her underwear in the laundry room, and immediately goes to change into a dress. I have tried to enjoy all of these moments and refuse to correct the "imperfect" sayings or ways they say things, because I know it won't be like that forever. They refer to doing everything as "but we did that last year..." which it may have just been yesterday. But what's the point? I like allowing my 3 year olds to be 3 and innocent:) I am enjoying having my girls and how complimenting they can be. During my late weeks of pregnancy, I hope I always remember Ellie watching me do my hair (while I look and feel fat and miserable) and telling me that my hair looks "marvelous!" And when I tell Molly anything little, she gives me a big hug and says "you're the best girl I ever saw!" Molly also has a tendency to appear in our bed in the early, early morning and I asked her the other day "Molly, who keeps coming into our bed at night?" and she said "well...it has brown hair, and brown eyes--can you guess what it is??" I loved her witty and creative response and tried to get her to repeat it all so I could get it on video:)

I'm going to miss just the 4 of us but I'm excited for what this next chapter has in store!
