7 Months

Our little munchkins are now 7 months old! I knew the time would fly by, but at this speed, we're going to be walking them down the aisle tomorrow! But bringing myself back to this moment, we are enjoying them more and more every day. They are turning from babies to little people. We are really starting to get a kick out of watching them interact with each other and just lay there smiling and giggling together. It is priceless watching them together and knowing it will be that way their whole lives:)

At 7 months, Ellie is getting very close to crawling and will probably be doing so within the next couple of weeks. She is a little wiggle worm and once she is on the floor, she immediately rolls over and starts wiggling around. Molly is very strong and loves to flip from her stomach back to her back. She's not quite as wiggly, but she is still enjoying laying on the floor and being content with not crawling at the moment...which I am completely OK with because I get nervous thinking of 2 toddlers crawling all over the house! So taking it one at a time will give us a little adjusting time:)

I'm not sure how much they way, but if I were to guess, I would say Molly is around 15 lbs and Ellie is around 13 1/2 lbs?? We will see the dr soon so I'll have updated weights shortly!

1st Christmas

The girls had an eventful 1st December! They had their first "tea" experience at the Brown Palace, they got to partake in the "girls" annual Christmas exchange, they got to meet Caleb, they got to open up presents, and best of all, they got to play with all their cousins:)

It was a fun Christmas and I really appreciated the girls being here with us, opposed to last year when I was pregnant and getting bigger and bigger every day! They were both very good, despite all the commotion that comes with holidays:) I loved the holiday time with them this year, but I have to admit that I'm already looking forward to next year!

Sisters born on the same day!

As we are closely approaching 7 months, Molly and Ellie are both starting to get very defined personalities, and even though they are "twins," it is starting to be more obvious that they are more like "sisters born on the same day!"

Ellie continues to be the "happy baby" and seems to only cry or complain when she is hungry or tired...and that's pretty much it! She is becoming very adventurous and really wants to be on the go. She is very meticulous when playing with her toys and you can see the determination in her face to figure out whatever she is playing with. When it comes to eating, Ellie wants to feed herself and hold the spoon the whole time. She also LOVES playing with Molly and is always reaching for her and trying to touch her...even though Molly may not want that at times, its cute to watch them interact:)

Molly on the other hand is our "sweet baby," yet a little more high maintenence, but only because of the tummy troubles she has inherited from her mother:-( However, that doesn't seem to interfere with her heart melting smile and her way to communicate through her eyes. As Ellie is getting closer to crawling, I think Molly wants to skip crawling and get to walking! She loves to stand up and pride herself with her strength. When it comes to eating for her, she sticks her arms back and is happy to have me feed her (which makes for an easy clean up!) Molly is definitely a little more skeptical of people but with one smile, you will earn her trust instantly!:)

Both of them are IN LOVE with Jackson. They both like it when he licks their hands and they giggle just looking at him. He is loving the attention and wants to be near them constantly. I'm sure the day is near where they will be chasing him and he'll be the one running!

Here are a few recent pictures..some are blurry but they were too cute to pass up. I'm about to ditch the iphone for pictures though and go back to my camera full time!

Thanksgiving 2011

The girls had their third trip out to CA and we were able to enjoy the warm weather and soak up a little humidity! They did great on the plane, again, and we even got to sit next to 1 yr old twin girls on the way out:) We had a pretty relaxing weekend and got to spend a lot of quality time with Ayla, who smothered them with love the whole time! Here are some pictures of when we were out there...

We got to show the girls our favorite bagel place in the harbor:) Maybe next time they'll try it out!

M and E with Papa and Grandma Connie

We got to spend some time at GG's house

Ellie learned how to ride a bike while Molly was napping...she'll teach her later!

We got to play with Auntie Cole a lot:)

Baby Benjamin:)

We had a new cousin born this weekend, Baby Benjamin Constantine Eliopulos, born on 11-11-2011! The girls were so excited to meet him and behaved very well at the hospital. However, it was really sad seeing how big they are now compared to a newborn! It's crazy how much things change in only 5 months!

Welcome to the world Ben, we love you!!!

Lucy and Molly:)

Hangin' out...

We got our Xmas/family pictures taken this weekend and parts of their personalities are really starting to show. Since they were born, Ellie for some reason has hated photo sessions...she threw a fit the whole time and then the second it was over, she was happy and playing with Molly, acting like nothing ever happened. Molly on the other hand is super camera happy and loves getting her picture taken. She cooperated very well, therefore we ended up with a lot of good solo-Molly pictures. Hopefully her sister will join her soon!

Cereal anyone???

So we have started the rice cereal slowly and have been trying it here and there for the past 1-2 weeks. Its funny how the girls are now switching roles. When they were born, Molly got the hang of nursing immediately, and Ellie was a different story and made it quite a struggle! Now when it is coming to eating cereal, Ellie is a champ! Molly seems to hate the taste and makes a "this is disgusting" look on her face...until I tell her its good and then she believes me and smiles:) Ellie grabs the spoon and would probably shove the thing down her throat if she could...she loves it:)

I recently got a new phone and am now depending on it for my pictures, which I can now see aren't nearly as good as my good ol' camera...so I think I'll go back to using that! But here are some cereal shots in action:)

6-9 mo pajamas...still big but they work...they are growing SO fast!

Mom and Molly time while Ellie was napping:)

"Give me that spoon!"

"Jackson, stay away from my cereal!"

Jackson got to help clean up...which she didn't seem to mind:)

"Yuck Mom...what are you doing to me!?"

"Okay, well at least I get to hold the spoon!"

Easily convinced child!
