"Stay-at-home-Mom" Week
Since I have returned back to work, I started looking for a new job. Needless to say, my determination paid off and within a month and a half back to work, I was able to quit and am now moving onto a new job!:) I will be selling Web/Video conferencing and joining the IT world of modern technology.
So, fortunately, I was able to quit my job last week and have a week off in between to spend with the girls. I have LOVED being at home with them! We have had a busy week and have been taking full advantage of our time together:) We have hung out at home, met our cousin Lucy for a picnic at the park, had our first play date, and we still have more days left!
Here are some pictures from our week with me pretending to be a stay at home mom!:)...maybe someday soon I will be!
My happy little babies!

OH!!! I have a sister!!! ...Just this week, they are starting to notice each other and make one another smile:) It is quite possibly the cutest thing in the whole world!

We loved our play date!

1st play date with Molly & Ellie, Maxton, Kash, Olivia, Kate & Lila (also twin girls)

Ellie helping Dad with breakfast...

Picnic with cousin Lucy before Benjamin arrives!

Molly can almost hang out in the Bumbo:)

We love our new Pajamas!

4 Month Appointment:)
We had our 4 month appointment this week and all is well with our little munchkins! They have been sleeping through the night for about a month a half now, and then started regressing (?) and waking up once in the night, so the dr advised me to re-sleep train them (which I never did from the beginning?) So, whatever that meant, I did it, and this week they have been sleeping from 8pm-7am ...WHOOO HOOO!:) They are doing great with growing and have pretty much caught up to other babies their age. I think Molly will actually be passing up our 6-wk older cousin, Lola soon!

Happy 29th Birthday Daddy!!! :)
Yesterday was the big 2-9 for Braden and I'm hoping it was everything he had imagined and more. However, it was the first birthday that I wasn't able to either make him breakfast or go to breakfast with him:( So I'm not sure if had envisioned twins being in his life at 29, but hopefully that is a pleasantly positive addition to his 29th year of life:) However, we were able to go Indoor Skydiving, which turned out to be a lot of fun! My mom had gotten us a gift certificate last year for our anniversary and then I got pregnant, so we weren't able to use it until now, which was a perfect birthday activity!
Then the girls spent the evening at Aunt Meagan's house while we went to dinner at Shanahan's:) They had a blast and even had their first visit to Nella's, the frozen yogurt shop down the street! Thank you Meagan and Sarah!!!

Ellie Giggles:)
So I came home last Friday to Ellie on the couch giggling with our nanny...I must have missed it by seconds because I only got to see the video'd version...which thankfully our nanny busted out her phone to get it on tape!:) It is the cutest thing ever! However, Braden and I made fools of ourselves all weekend trying to get her to do again...did it work? Of course not! Apparently, we aren't very funny:( But I'm happy I have chosen a babysitter who she does think is funny and who can make her laugh! She giggled again with her on Monday...but still not with me! I've heard this is a common occurance with babies and that not all moms can make their babies giggle, so I'm not taking it too personal. Molly seems to think I'm funnier, so maybe she will giggle at me soon! And eventually, they both will!:)
As for their 3 1/2 month mark, I'm beginning to learn that twins aren't exactly 2 of the "same" baby. At this point, they are on 2 different formulas, they are in 2 different size diapers, almost in 2 different size clothes, eating 2 different amounts throughout the day...so while they are the same, they are also very different!:)

Braden, Molly, and Jackson watching football while Ellie and I were getting ready for bathtime:)

We also had Lucy's baby shower. Baby Benjamin will be here in less than 2 months!!! Molly and Ellie can't wait for their new cousin to arrive:)

Big Night Out!
We had our first overnight trip (together) this weekend and went up to Breckenridge for a friends wedding. We had a great time and got to relax, take our time eating, and enjoy being together. The Molly, Ellie, and Jackson (our 3 kids!) got to have a sleepover with Yaya and Bompa and they cooperated very well by sleeping from 8:30 pm to 6:30 am:) ...that's my girls!!! Even though they did great, I think we decided we won't be go anywhere very far, or for very long, without them anytime soon!
The girls and their new sock monkeys...thank you Ava!:)

Mom and Dad got out for a night up in Breckenridge for Tallie and Clark's wedding...WOO WOO!!!

While M, E, and Jackson stayed at Yaya and Bompa's house for the night:)

Molly loves Uncle Zach! He's going to make a great Daddy very soon!:)

Uncle Mikey and Uncle Steve (Brothers holding Sisters!)

Auntie Sabrina and Molly:)

Molly is practicing waving...she will teach Ellie when she gets it down!

Ellie and Dad watching the Bachelor Pad!

GIRL TIME!

Ellie was trying to play with Molly...E thought it was funny!:)

Jackson (very dark so you really have to look for him) still LOVES being right next to his sisters:)

We just had a "Happy Day" yesterday so I thought I would post some pictures. I was able to get some very smiley pictures of Molly, since she is starting to get the more "serious" reputation between the two...even though they are both very happy babies! Molly (the big sister) just seems to be a little more skeptical of strangers who gauck at both of them as we walk around in public...rightfully so!
We watch Yo Gabba Gabba for the first time and this was the reaction I got:)
They love each other:)
I've started to realize lately that some of my views have changed since becoming a mom. This morning when I was putting on jeans, I now understand why they make "high rise" jeans! Today, I would be perfectly okay wearing jeans that went way over my belly button! I think my sister and I both would have died if I knew I would ever agree with the idea of high rise jeans!
I also now understand how mom's with multiple kids/babies (more than 2) do it. When I was pregnant, I met a mom who had a 15 mo old, then had twins, then had another one, equalling 4 kids under the age of 3! I thought she was insane! I know understand how she got through it and just "did it." Several people have asked me if I would be terrified if I got pregnant again right now, and honestly, I would be excited! (Again, I am NOT going to!) But, just as other moms have done it, I know I would just do what I had to do and I would get through it and be just fine!
